Thanks to @drewbryd for being down with @notavailablebrand and debuting that Closing Ceremony Tee.
When designing the 1st Collection for Not Available, we wanted to design something that was influenced by the past and also the future. In the fashion industry, every company looked to locations (street boutique and higher end locations) to debut, carry and help the brands brake thru to the masses before the Internet consumed society.
Fast forward to the Internet age, more brands are popping up, not worrying about locations selling their companies, and embracing the DIY mentality and winning and becoming more sought after in the process.
When designing the "Closing Ceremony" tee, that was the idea behind it. Taking such a sought after high end retailer, flipping it, and sending that's message that they're not needed for a brand to succeed. Just a little insight to Not Available.
Stay tuned for more....
Curren$y aka @spitta_andretti seen rocking the Closing Ceremony tee while in Atlanta for BET Awards weekend. Thanks for riding with us.
2 years ago... after conception and careful planning, N/A(Not Available) is now here. This project was created to take the ideas, concepts and design back to the golden era of streetwear. Designs that were in your face, loud and offensive. Designs that poke fun at the masses and corporate companies ithat gain inspiration from us, but give no credit where credits due, those are the things that got us into it. We felt that void in the industry and wanted to fill it. We wanted to also take nostalgic memories, hobbies and experiences from our childhood and adolescence, and bring them back to life. We look forward to sharing our vision with you.
